Well, it wasn't on Rocky's corner - Rocky aka Derek Sylvester wiped out on his bike coming down a hill in The Gap a few months ago, breaking his arm and shoulder (for those that don't know), so there I was riding down the cycle path at 7am on Saturday morning, and I went around a sharp bend at walking pace, feet clipped in, and the front wheel of my bike just went from underneath me - lots of sand and small sticks on the path, so I ended up doing a front somersault with a half twist that would have been awarded a perfect 10 in anybodies estimation, over the handlebars of my bike, which I proceeded to snap in half. Hurried repairs ensued, but the grape vine works so fast here in Oz, that I had a call a few hours later from Leon who is working at Ernest Henry mine in Cloncurry (some 2000km away) to find out how I was after having become known as Rocky II.
