Gosh, It has been so long since I updated my blog, ...either been very busy or just plain lazy, but in order to complete the posts below, I need to tell you all that Queensland duly wipped New South Wales for the 5th straight year in this series, a truly historic moment for all Queenslanders, and still we hold our record of never having to face a State of Origin series defeat since we moved to Australia.
The Ballantyne's must be the good luck charms...A lovely quote from one of the newspapers here said" The New South Wales kids, born in 2006, will be stating school next year, having never known what it is like to win a State of Origin Series" how do you explain that to your young son......lol
In other NRL news, My team the Cowboys look destined for the wooden spoon again this year (not that they won it last year though), but with Melbourne being bottom due to salary cap infringements this year, the best we can do is 14th, not a good thing....
All my fellow Bronco's supporters in Brisbane are worried that they will not make the playoff's this year, I watched them lose badly to Parramatta on Friday night and they are slipping fast. Hope they do make it though, they have a very proud record of making the finals over the last 20 odd years - each year.
