Ian played in his last game for the year today at a bit of a "cow patch" in Eaton Hill. The field was terrible. He opened the batting and put on some very quick runs with his mate and then went out to a silly ball (his head in the air - and was bowled). Guess he was looking for another 4 (he had some great pulls and hooks.
His bowling was good, and at one stage had three catches dropped in three balls. He was a bit miffed, as the first was in the guys hands, the second was an edge to the keeper who caught it, but the umpire was apparantly unsighted, but we even heard the edge from the stands...and the third was a bit more difficult, but the guy got both hands to it - oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes..
