This last week saw Ian have three innings, one at school where he was 33 not out and was asked to retire (after hitting a few fours and a great six off his mate Elliott)and then two innings for Valleys against the Ferny Fireballs where he was not out both times. He has now made well over 50 without being dismissed.
During his second innings, he ran very well between the wickets and unfortunately ran out one of his mates (Matt), but had he run when called, he would have also made it...they were chasing a target that was within their reach and had all the boys had the same willingness to try and get there that Ian showed, they would have won the match. I was particularly proud of my Balla....
Ian's bowling continues to show huge improvement with no wides and a few very close shave's for the batsmen.
Today at practice he tells me he took a wicket as well.
