Holiday in Far North Queensland

Some pictures of Palm Cove and our Hotel where we stayed (the Novatel Palm Cove Resort), the beach with the stinger enclosure we had to swim in as it is stinger season. These little buggers can kill you in minutes and are so tiny as well. They say the most deadly sea animals around. The only thing you can do is pour vinegar on them and get to a hospital fast, but you die a painful death (so we are told). All in all a very beautiful place, went to Port Douglas (where the Crocodile Hunter died),Kuranda Markets, Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands and all the fantastic rain forests in the region, the opal mines, did some go karting with Ian, and generally enjoyed the week away.
