Ian gets Klapped by a cricket ball.

Ian was trying to hook a delivery to leg, when he got a top edge and the ball flew into his face, on Saturday. He was opening the batting and doing great at the time. Of course the coach got it in the neck for not insisting the dude wore his helmet (which he hates, but will be getting used to now...). The Doctor said he thought it was not broken (his nose), but said if we wanted to have an x-ray when the swelling went down we should have one done. Shame, you should have seen the blood and snot that flew......Thank goodness the swelling has subsided by today, but he has two brilliant shiners for his trouble. I took Ian to the Valleys nets tonight and gave him a number of head high "chuck downs" to get his confidence back, because he will have to get his team past the opposition's score next week - naturally he had his helmet on this time..
