Ian took five wickets this week in the last game of the season. Opening the bowling as he has done now for some time, he actually dismissed both openers, but one was mysteriously disallowed and called a no ball for being above waist height (by the wrong umpire as well). I fail to see how a ball can be above waist height when it hits the top of middle stump anyway. He then proceeded to take another 4 wickets (3 in one over) ending with 5 for 50 in his 10 overs.
Ian has exceeded his targets he set himself for the season being the Top All Rounder in his age group(U15) at Valley's, Top Wicket Taker in his age group (19 wickets) and Top Run Scorer (274 with an innings to go still).Still at the age of 14!
Well done Iano, we are just so proud of you and know you are going to do well in Lord's Taverner's (Queensland Cricket Union side)next season and U16 - Soon you will be starting in Men's Grade cricket......
