My trip into the Swedish countryside

Henrik Nilsen and Christer Eberger took me out into the countryside today - in a Hagglunds Military tracked vehicle called a BG02 (or something like that), Both Christer and Henrik were in the army here and so were able to organise this vehicle and we drove some 20 km into the wild white wonder. Firstly, the vehicle is awesome (I drove it on the way back), it goes anywhere, and would be my vehicle of choice in the snow, at 45km/h over trees, in 1 meter deep powder snow and no tracks, it just powers on. We saw some Moose (es??) in the wild - beautiful animals, and then went into a military area to a few buildings their ex regiment owned, made some fires and had a skottle in the snow. It is beside a lake (frozen over obviously) and we walked over and made some holes in the ice with axes and did some fishing, using maggots as bait, but were not very lucky, but whqat a unique experience it was. We cooked all sorts of traditional Swedish dishes, drank a few beers, so Gluvine and just relaxed. Just remember not to eat the yellow snow...... All in all, something very special I will never forget.
