Saturday 21st October.
Ian was made the Captain of the Valleys Under 12 team today and they had a resounding win over the Albany Creek Hawks at the Mott road fields.
Ian batted very well although did not score as many runs as he would have liked, and played Wicket keeper in the field. One of his guys scored a very good 79, and they bowled Albany Creek out cheeply, with a 90 run lead in the first innings.
He can't wait for practice on Monday afternoon, and both Jan and I could not stop thinking that his Bampa would have been so proud of him to see him playing today.
Ian's club is the home club of Matthew Hayden and Andrew Simons (both Australian current team) and the ex home club of Kepler Wessels and Alan Border (who nobody needs to explain about them...)
Love to all
Dave
