Melbourne Conference - October 2006

Jan and I attended the CMIC - 06 Conference in Melbourne this last week and stayed at the Crown Promenade Hotel on Southbank.

We had a lovely time, the ladies were taken on a shopping day and site seeing day around Melbourne, while we were busy during the day, and then in the evenings we entertained customers at a variety of venues. The best night was the Komatsu sponsored "mystery night" where we all caught a train from Flinder's Station to the Flemington Race track (home of the Melbourne cup), where we hosted a 600 person sit down dinner dance with bookies taking "Komatsu" money on bets (obviously with a racing theme). At about 11pm we were taken back to the Casino complex and hosted a "Komatsu Supper club" at Fidels Cigar Bar, which went on to the small hours.

All in all a lovely break and time together. Couldn't have done it if Emma had not been able to look after Ian while we were away.
