Steve Irwin One year on...We still all miss him

One Year since his untimely death, Steve Irwin is still remembered very fondly by all in Australia. He certainly left a legacy and void in most people's lives that has not been filled. He was the face of Australia and a wonderful guy, you just could not help liking him for all his quirks and school boy enthusiasm. He was killed on the 4 September 2006 when filming on the reef by a stingray barb being shot up into his chest when he swam over one of them. They are otherwise docile animals and that is what make it all the more shocking that it had happened to a guy who knew what he was doing. Although he lived life on the edge, some would say too far over it....he always had a huge respect for the animals he handled.
