Hamilton Island

Went to Hamilton Island in the Whitsunday's group off the Mackay / Townsville coast for three days on a Komatsu conference this week - oh well, it's just tough how much dedication you have to put in isn't it....anyway, someone has to do it not so?.

Had a great time and a most enjoyable place that I am sure I will end up taking Jan and the children to in the future for a few days of holiday. We had all sorts of sideshows including go-karting, Buggy rallys and snorkelling on the reef, but the big news was that I won the target shooting competition (.22 pistols) and Gary Watson, another ex South African came second. Our President Bill Pike made comment that it was very strange that two South Africans won the shooting, and that we would have done even better if the competition was "Drive by shooting" perhaps from the go-karts.....Won a lovely briefcase / laptop bag.

Gary and I shared a room, and despite going to the Gym each morning I did not loose any weight this week again, but more importantly, did not gain any - seem to have hit a plateau recently. Will keep to the diet more strictly though still.
