Here's the proof, we now have been "accepted" into the fold in some ways, Permanent Residence has brought with it some good and some bad, The good - we now have Medicare cards, We had to take out Private Health cover as well though as Medicare does not cover dental and optical here, and the bad....I lost my Living Away From Home Allowance (a tax free portion of my salary), but then I do not get taxed on the first $ 6 000 I earn each year - whoopppeeee.
Best of all is that the clock is now ticking and in two years time we can sponsor the other part of our family (Ryan) to come into Australia as a permanent resident. Sadly he had to lose his 457 visa when we got our new PR Visa's, so he now has to come and visit us on a tourist visa in June.
