Africa Club - Potjiekos Competition

Had a great afternoon on the hill behind our house in The Gap. An Ex South African lady owns a huge tract of land and invited all from the Africa Club of Queensland to come along and we had their first ever Potjiekos competition. Suffice to say I was Leon's bouncer for his curried lamb shanks pot which won the day (it was great mate, thanks) followed by Morne's (as we liked to refer to it, macaroni cheese pot) and Other Leon (stout Leon's) pot of Varkie met 'n bietjie chilli. Needless to say they were all lovely, and enjoyed by the Holm's, Kriels, Caplens, Shuddinks and Ballantynes in the bunch. We even met Charl Botha who know's the Faure's Mike and Ali from Worcesterand an ex Rondebosch boy. Good friendships and great company, combined with even better food.
