Such good advise

Thanks to all those who give me such good advise on MY blog. I appreciate being that we all have different points of view, but what makes you think yours are the correct ones the whole time, and that I am a misguided poor lost sole that deserves to be told WHAT to put on my blog and WHEN and WHY.

I appreciate engendering good, even robust discussion in this forum, but certainly won't be told what I can and can't write or comment on. I have lived and worked in numerous countries around the world and so perhaps have a global, need I say balanced perspective on events, politics and sport - just because I may dare to not share your views, does not warrant the tone of the comments I get, many of which I do not publish - some in support, others scathing on articles in the Blog.

Once before I considered hitting the delete button on the blog and was asked not to. It started as a forum to let family and friends in South Africa know what we were up to, but now that we are in a different position I have debated if this is relevant anymore. Came to the conclusion it was, and enjoy seeing aspects of life here, in RSA and elsewhere, but it is not a forum to slag off, or as has been suggested JUSTIFY why we moved to Australia. Far from it, I stuffed up in Cape Town and found, very luckily, a good job in Australia. I since lost that and another job and am at my third employer here. Australia has many problems, is not utopia and is very expensive to live in, just the problems are different to those faced by many of our friends and family now. We are here to stay, like it or not - we couldn't afford to move anywhere else anyway. It's not all bad though, and we do enjoy many aspects of life here.

Don't compare us to you, I won't. Don't feel sorry for us or yourselves, live your lives and enjoy too, and if you get uptight reading my blog, sorry, skip it , I don't want to make anyone "the moer in".

Funny though, on the things I write what concerns uncontentious issues, I never get any response at all?
